Basic Ghost Girly
By Chris Doty-Dunn
Basic ghost girly following the ghost hunters through the abandoned mansion, making cold spots and EVPs, telling them she’s here.
They totes don’t get her.
When they go to the basement, she tries to follow. Gets an Ugg on the first step.
But she can’t even.
So she lurks at the top, waiting to see if they find her body under the dirt.
They never do.
Basic ghost girly sipping her spectral pumpkin spice latte on the stairs.
Waiting for the next group.
She’ll go down next time.
Basic ghost girly’s so ready to go to the light or whatever.

I legit had my first pumpkin spiced latte of the day today. I'm going to say its in honor of Basic Ghost Girly.
Perhaps she and I would get along.
*Edit. I said of the day. I meant of the year.
We rats don’t always get to read every piece that’s published if it gets accepted before we have a chance to read it. This is the first time I’ve read this one, and it was an enjoyable surprise!
It’s good to know there is ghost coffee for ghost humans that hang around. I wonder if there will be ghost cheese too…
