Leporine Priorities
By Nissa Harlow

“You coming?” the white rabbit asked.
I looked around the park, wondering if anyone else saw the impatient bunny.
“I don’t have all day,” the rabbit said.
“You talk?”
“Priorities, woman! Honestly. Some saviour you are.”
“Wait… what?”
The rabbit hopped toward the riverbank. I followed, slipping in mud as I fell to my knees before a glimmering portal. I poked my head through.
The air teemed with yowls and the stench of burnt cat hair. Uniformed felines with augmented claws advanced with flying kicks. A team of rabbits raced past, laser guns flashing.
“Dog person!” one cried. “Save us!”
